One of the best received an most popular events of the past year was our Vicksburg Heritage Fair in April. We are still hearing comments and compliments about that weekend. Your portrayal of General Ulysses S. Grant played a major role in making the event the success that it was. Your oratory and General Grant's words truly brought to like this facet of "living history" and gave our 21st Century audiences a sample of what it would have been like to hear Grant speak 150 years ago. In the concerts and workshops, you educated, entertained and delighted all in attendance. After all, there would not be a Vicksburg sesquicentennial if there had not been a Ulysses S. Grant.

Mt. Rushmore National Park
Thanks to the tireless efforts of the Mt. Rushmore Society and the National Park Service, an estimated sum in excess of $ 22,000 was raised to assist in building a children's education center at Mt. Rushmore National Park. I had the honor to be the chief speaker at the event and was honored to be part of such a great work raising funds for the children of the United States and the World.

Testimonial from the Mayor of Vicksburg, Mississippi
"We were honored to have you speak during the Conference for Travel Media in Preparation of The Sesquicentennial in April. Your living history presentation of Mr. Grant was a wonderful conclusion to our conference. You brought to life all the knowledge the writers had learned and to be able to speak to Ulysses Grant was exciting! Thank you for traveling to Vicksburg and we hope to see you here again soon.
Paul E. Winfield, Mayor
